Most people think of the small Farmall tractors when they think of Farmall tractors. But that wasn't always the case. As a matter of fact, they manufactured nearly 300,000 (290,000 to be exact) of their larger Farmall M Series.

Larger than the Farmall H, the M series was capable of pulling much larger implements, like a 3 or 4 row bottom plow. The M series was first manufactured in 1939 and continued for fourteen years until 1952. The standard gasoline tractor sold for about $1100 and the MD series sold for about $1700. Price varied somewhat with the configuration options chosen. In 1952 the Farmall M was replaced with the new Farmall Super M series.
